A KOMATSU WA150-5 wheel loader operating at a ready-mix concrete plant. We received an urgent request from the operator: “The top of the bucket has torn and bent, and gravel is spilling out.” The fractured edge was sharp and could damage other vehicles, so we determined it was unsafe to continue operating. The customer brought the machine to us because our “speed in completing everything in-house—from steel fabrication to welding in one go” was the deciding factor.

[Repair Process]

Steel plate + L-angle bending and welding

• The steel plate was V-bent to match the bucket width, flattening the missing section.
• The L-shaped steel was bent to the same shape and welded along the full length as a reinforcing rib.
• The gap with the existing base material was adjusted to 1 mm or less, and strength was ensured with continuous full welding.

Anti-rust clear coating

• A clear finish provides both visibility and rust inspection → making it easier to decide on the next maintenance timing.

Final inspection

• A 1 t load was applied with an in-factory crane for a stress test → no deformation or cracking.
